Community - Residents Association

Horningsea Residents Association (HRA) aims to provide village events at a low cost to the residents. In the year we organise a village day consisting of Childrens events a bbq and dance. Other regular events include boat trips, firework display in November, pensioners party, Christmas festivites, talks, cheese and wine evenings, along with a 100 club, which is our main fund raising source.

We actively support the Parish council in protection of the village
enviroment and are currently heavily involved in the fight to stop the moving of the sewage farm closer to the village.
The HRA also manages Goose Green ,the childrens play area which was commisioned two years ago after  raising enough money to replace the old one which was no longer safe.

The association is managed by a small group who meet in the village pub to organise events throughout the year, anyone is wecome and we are always looking out for new ideas. Contact John Wilson on   Cambridge 440150

The presentation given by the HRA in 2005 earned us South Cambs 'Village of the Year' award, reported here.
